Largely problem-free, but the Honda S2000 drinks oil like a tramp drinks Diamond White. Check for dry sumps
What to look for
The Honda S2000 doesn't suffer from
many mechanical woes. However,
the engine can use lots of oil so
owners are advised to check the
dipstick every time they fill with
fuel. Many don't bother, meaning
dry sumps aren't unknown. In
2001 Honda gave the car a revised
chassis plus air-con and a CD
player became standard.
Used Prices
It has finally fallen out of favour
(there are better cars out there
now) so S2000s are no longer
making premiums. Save £6k on a
twelve month old example but pay
£500 more if you want a hard top.
