Fewer problems than you'd expect from such a complicated car, but few Prius' ever come on the used market
What to look for
Despite its extremely complicated
hybrid technology, the Prius still
has Toyota's typical rock-solid
reliability. Even the earlier 2001-
2004 model has proved to be
hassle-free. That said, only buy
a car from a Toyota dealership
and ensure it comes with a full
Toyota service history to make
sure you're buying the best.
Used prices
Our data shows the Prius has an
initial hit of £2,500 in the first 12
months and then another £2k per
year after that. However, they're so
rare on the used market expect to
pay what ever it takes to buy one.
