What to look for
When buying a used VW Polo,
pedigree is paramount. This
means buying a car with a full
Volkswagen dealer history. The
best buy is probably an SE that
was fitted with aircon by the
first owner. Expensive new, it
hardly makes any difference to
the car's used price.
Used Prices
Because of the badge, the
reliability and the 'I'm driving a
Volkswagen' image, the Polo is
one of the slowest depreciators
in the class. Most examples lose
around £2,000 from their new
price in the first 12 months.
