Bajaj Pulsar 375 image leaks out

We've all seen images of the faired new Pulsars doing the rounds on the internet, and after several renders and spyshots comes this - a perfectly low-resolution image of the Pulsar 375, courtesy VisorDown.

The leaked picture, quite possibly a render, shows us what Bajaj's largest offering yet will look like, and from what we can make of it, it does look good. Very similar, in fact, to the rendering published in our November 2012 issue, leaving aside that rear tyre-hugger. Anyone else see the slight resemblance to the Yamaha R1?

It is no secret that the big Pulsar will, like the smaller Duke 200-Pulsar 200NS siblings, share most of its basic mechanicals with the 390 Duke/RC390, which includes the engine. Yes, this too will use the same 373.2cc single-cylinder mill, but it could possibly be detuned, with power being pulled down to around 40bhp or so.

To ensure it doesn't clash with the upcoming RC390 in any way, Bajaj will also fit the P375 with different, locally-manufactured brakes and tyres, and the suspension will be tuned to make your daily travels less tiresome for your backside. The P375 will also weigh a bit more than the RC390, and will be more touring-oriented, rather than a flat-out supersports machine like the RC390.

There's also a faired 200NS in the works, and it goes without saying that Bajaj will introduce a naked version of the P375 at a later date. It makes good business sense too - position the P375 just under the RC390, the faired 200NS below the RC200.

The new Pulsars are galloping towards production, and we expect the 375 to be launched in the first quarter of 2014. Before that, we might get to see both bikes at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi.

So, what do you think of the P375? And what price would you be willing to pay for one of these?
