S&T Motors, the Korean bike-maker, more popularly known as Hyosung, only recently entered the Indian market along with Garware Motors Pvt Ltd. as their official partners. But now, Garware Motors have been replaced by the DSK group - a Maharashtra-based conglomerate dealing in automobiles, digital products, and real estate among many other ventures.

The new arm of the DSK Group, DSK MotoWheels Pvt Ltd. will have exclusive rights to marketing, assembling and retailing Hyosung bikes in India, with the venture being named "DSK Hyosung". This tie-up also means that DSK MotoWheels will now take charge of  Garware Motors' manufacturing plant at Wai, simultaneously transferring Garware Motors' 18 dealerships to DSK MotoWheels Pvt Ltd.

DSK MotoWheels intend to establish another manufacturing facility close to Pune soon, whilst intensifying localisation plans to bring down costs and make Hyosung bikes more affordable.

Speaking on this occasion, Shirish Kulkarni, Managing Director of DSK Motowheels, said, “We are excited to get in to the superbiking market and are glad  to be associated with a brand like Hyosung which is known for its stylized powerful bikes. We plan to leverage each other’s strengths and create synergies to make DSK Hyosung one of the most sought-after superbike brand among the youth in the country."

Buying a Hyosung, just that little bit easier now. Music to your ears, TopGear.commers?
