For a very long time, Hero Splendor has been on the top step of the two wheeler sales chart in India. But the inevitable has happened and Honda's bread and butter scooter, the Activa is now the highest selling two-wheeler in India for the month of March 2014.

This isn't the first time the Japanese scooter has achieved the milestone. It was back in September 2013 that Activa had first claimed the highest selling motorcycle crown and with the looks of it, this may not be the last time we see an automatic scooter with a Honda badge on the top spot. We say this because Honda has readied its Activa 125 for our markets and today is its official launch.

The Honda Activa 125 boasts a 124.9cc engine, which produces 8.6bhp and 10.12Nm of torque. It gets Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard, which balances the engagement of both front and rear brakes. The scooter is offered in Midnight Blue Metallic, Sword Silver Metallic, Black and Pearl Sunbeam White colours.

Honda had first showcased the Activa 125 back in February at the Auto Expo and it also revealed the all-India prices a few days back. Available in two variants, - Standard and Deluxe (comes with alloy wheels and front disc brake), the Activa 125 has been priced at Rs 62,276 and Rs 68,742 (on-road, Mumbai).
