Indian Motorcycle has launched the Roadmaster Elite at Rs 48.0 lakh (ex-showroom).Why such a hefty price tag? Well, for starters, Indian has used 23k gold for the detailing on the fuel tank. And it’s not just the gold that makes it so special. The Elite also gets a custom-made, dual-tone colour scheme.

The Roadmaster Elite is equipped with a touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, a 300-watt audio system, heated seats, LED lights and storage capacity of over 140 litres.

Powering this 433kg beast is a 1811cc ‘Thunder Stroke’ motor which puts out 150Nm of pulling power at 2900 rpm. The Elite is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock with air adjustability at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a dual-300mm floating rotor at the front and a single-300mm floating rotor at the rear.

Feature-wise, it’s pretty loaded. Along with the infotainment system, it gets ABS, cruise control, keyless ignition, a tire pressure monitor, heated grips and adjustable passenger floorboards among other features.

With that array of features and with that kind of price tag, it pretty similar to some German luxury cars, no?
