Royal Enfield has launched a special edition of the Himalayan at an introductory price of Rs 2.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). Just 500 units of the Himalayan Sleets have been manufactured. They will be sold through Royal Enfield’s official website. If you wish to own one, you will have to first register yourselves between Jan 12th to Jan 30th, 2018. As the sale goes live on Jan 30th 2018, the bikes will be allotted to the first 500 registered customers who can confirm the booking at the price of Rs. 5000.

The Himalayan Sleet gets a camouflage paint scheme and it will also be equipped with an additional explorer kit. This kit consists of two 26litre aluminium panniers, powder coated engine guard and an off-road style aluminium handlebar with added bar-end weights.

Mechanically there aren't any changes and the Himalayan Sleet will be powered with the same fuel injected single cylinder 411cc BS IV compliant engine as on the standard bike. This mill produces 24bhp of power and 32Nm of twist and it is mated with a five-speed gearbox.
