We first got our glimpse of the 110cc Scooty Zest at the Auto Expo earlier this year, and now, TVS has launched its large-hearted Scooty.

The face of the new scooter resembles that of the older Scooty, while at the rear, the 110 sports a different, more stylish look. Overall, it retains the design cues of the older Scooty, but this one looks like it's spent just a few more hours at the gym.

TVS says that the vibrant look of the new scooter is supposed to primarily attract female audiences.

The 110cc Scooty is powered a 109.7cc air-cooled motor that produces 7.9bhp and 8.7Nm. Yup, its the same single-pot CVTi motor that powers the TVS Jupiter and Wego scooters. Weighing in at 97kg, the Scooty Zest is one of the lightest in its category, and TVS claim that it will take 11.1secs before the needle on the white backlit display hits the 60kph mark. Also claimed is a mileage figure of 62kpl.

Nifty features of the new Scooty Zest include the parking brake, the econometer (like the one on the Jupiter), a backlit analogue speedo, LED tail-lamp, painted switch panels, leaf-shaped mirrors, retractable hooks for bags, and a new muffler with a stainless steel guard. The 110cc Zest also boasts 19 litres of under-seat storage space, and hydraulic mono shock suspension at the rear. There is, however, no front disc brake on offer, not even as an option.

The Scooty Zest costs Rs 42,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
