Launched: UM Renegade Commando Classic and Renegade Commando Mojave Edition
Two new bike trims boast new cosmetic elements along with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI)
Nearly a year after launching the Renegade Commando in India, UM Lohia Two Wheelers has expanded its portfolio to include two new iterations of its Renegade Commando series - in the form of the Classic edition which is priced at Rs 1.89 lakh and the Mojave edition which is priced at Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Both motorcycles are powered by the same old 279.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that powered the older bike, but now come with electronic fuel injection. Max power output stands at 25bhp @ 8500rpm with torque delivery being 23Nm @ 7000rpm. The motor remains mated to a six-speed transmission setup.
The Renegade Commando Classic edition is a vintage styled version in the series – with a load of chromed garnish, a wind deflector up front and even some touring accessories as standard. The standard touring package includes saddlebag, tank cover with a storage pouch, highway engine guards and a pillion back rest. The Mojave edition comes with a matte finish and is meant to pay homage to the Mojave Desert in California. It also features the same touring package as the Chrome edition but misses on the windshield, Instead the bike gets a tacky tank mounted cell phone pad.
