Hero, still the world’s largest two-wheeler maker despite its recent separation from long-time partner Honda has started its solo campaign with the snazzy-looking Impulse ‘on/off-road’ motorcycle that it showed to the world in August this year.

With an ex-showroom price of Rs 66,800, Impulse is fitted with a 150cc engine with 13bhp and 13.4Nm and boasts of mono-shock suspension. Typically, the tyres have stud-type tread pattern and disc brake at front.

All the regular bits of an off-roader have been incorporated, like solid knuckle guards, high mounted exhaust, straight pull spokes and a motorcross seat. Instrumentation is digital.

Hero Impulse hits showrooms this Diwali.
