Suzuki has added one more motorcycle to its portfolio in India with the Intruder. A lot like it’s bigger namesake, the Intruder conforms to the cruiser style of motorcycles.

The Intruder is powered by a 155cc single cylinder powerplant that makes roughly 15bhp and 14Nm of torque. The air-cooled, carburetted engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Intruder also gets disc brakes at either end and ABS as standard.

But what stands out most on this motorcycle is its styling. It moves away from the traditional cruiser lines to create a very unique style position for itself. So, while the riding position is cruiser-like, the styling is more flowing lines and plastic shrouds. There is no mistaking this motorcycle for anything else on the road and that, we believe, will be its biggest strength.

The biggest competition for the Intruder will come from Bajaj’s stable – the Avenger 150s. But with such distinctive styling, the two are sure to attract very different customers. Whatever be the case, the Intruder brings both a connect to Suzuki’s big cruiser with its name and styling that has never been seen on Indian motorcycles.

The Intruder will be available in two colours – silver and black. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 98,340 (ex-Delhi).
