Ford EcoSport: the catalogue buster
If it helps you with perspective, think of the EcoSport as a smart hatch with the ground clearance of an SUV. And as an all-in-one car, the EcoSport is commendable. It is well-sized, well-packaged, drives well and is packed with enough features to not make you feel you are going for any sort of compromise.
Personally, the only bone I have to pick is that the EcoSport doesn’t offer that characterful, soulful driving experience that cars wearing a Blue Oval have provided in India so far. But that doesn’t take anything away from the rest of the package. And while I hate delivering a verdict on a car that hasn’t been priced yet, that’s what I have to do here. Besides repeating that most trashy line of motoring journalism, “The car is good as long as yadayada motor company gets the price right”. Ugh.
