Kawasaki Ninja 650 on National Highway 17

The Ninja 650 comes equipped with dual disc brakes up front and a single disc at the rear. These work very well and bring the bike to a standstill with ease. The one thing that bothers me is why Kawasaki has not provided ABS even as an option. Especially when ABS versions of the bike are on sale in other parts of the world. On our ride, with the rains really coming down, the tyres struggled for grip while braking on many occasions.

ABS would have really boosted my confidence at such times. For a bike that costs more than Rs 5 lakh, not having ABS is a sin. Especially when you consider that even a TVS Apache RTR 180 that costs less than a lakh offers ABS as an option.
