KTM Duke 390: The Hue of Madness

Our day in the Austrian countryside proved one thing beyond doubt. You don't ride this one. You race it. And I can’t wait to get my hands on it on our roads.

When it does arrive, all eyes will be on its sticker price. Considering that most of the motorcycle remains the same except the engine and other bits and bobs, pricing should be reasonable. Around `1.8 lakh, ex-showroom, is what I’d expect. If Bajaj-KTM decide to prove me wrong and price it cheaper, I’d be happier still, for after a long time the desire to empty my already impoverished wallet for a new motorcycle has taken me over.

The Duke 390 continues the KTM tradition of being a fun and desirable motorcycle, despite its relatively humble positioning. It’s a machine with which you can have a deep and fulfilling relationship of one night stands. Whoever said power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, clearly rode a KTM.
