Mercedes E-Class: Anti-ageing formula

These headlamps, with daytime LEDs, are now in sync with the new Merc design theme, and immediately distinguish the new model from the older one. The three-point star sits in the middle of that wide grille with two horizontal slats. Oh, and it’s now illuminated. Which looks awesome once the sun goes down. Pity the illuminated star is an optional extra, though.

In profile, the new car looks almost identical to the earlier one, with sharp sweeping lines running all the way to the C-pillar. At the rear, Merc says LED and optical fibre technology has gone into designing the new-shape tail-lamps. But apart from those tail-lamps and the slightly altered bumper, the designers haven’t messed too much with the rear.
