Pics: Nissan reveals the facelifted Micra

Talking about nip-and-tuck arrangement here is the refreshed Nissan Micra. Thing is, the hatchback market has been overcrowded with cute looking cars for a while, which makes the Micra's current design blend into the crowd, rather than stand out of it. Making matters worse for the Nissan is the sibling rivalry it faces from Renault Pulse.

To give its Micra a second life, Nissan has updated the car with a tad bit aggression. The front get’s aggressive headlights (identical to the Pulse), while the grille gets a nerdy, chrome-bucktooth element. Fog lamps have been moved further to the sides for better illumination. Point is, the front emotes a lot more character than the current Micra.

Overall sheet metal stays untouched, while the tail-lamp gets a new LED cluster. Interiors also get a mild update with the better interior trim and improved plastic. The 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel will be a carryover from the current car. Though they can be tuned to meet tighter emission norms.

Expect no major price hike, as Nissan will try to play the price card when it launches the car by third quarter this year. Keep clicking 'Next Page' for more pics...
