Preview: Cartier Concours 2013
Vintage car enthusiasts in India eagerly await the biennial event that is the Cartier Concours d'Elegance, since this is a place where some of India's finest and oldest automobiles take place of pride, are celebrated and are awarded. The first edition was held in 2008, the second in 2011 and now, the 3rd event will be the biggest of them all so far, and will take place in the month of February 2013.
As with every subsequent edition, the next Concours too gets new categories - the Shikar class (vehicles tailor-made for hunting), the Edwardian class (cars made before the 20th century to the beginning of the 20th century) and the Limousine class, along with vintage motorcycles which will be showcased for the very first time. Also, the Indian Heritage class soldiers on, with more mainstream, yet characterful Indian cars battling it out for top honours.
