TG’s Top 5 fun bikes under Rs 1 lakh in 2017

5. Yamaha FZ-S V2.0 – Rs 81,611 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The Yamaha has been around for quite a while now, but even so, what still keeps the FZ-S V2.0  in the running is the amount of fun you can have on this motorcycle once astride. Looking to have aged gracefully, not appearing like a thing of the past on the roads today, the FZ-S’ engine refinement and ergonomics make it one of the most comfortable 150cc bikes to be on and it’s agile enough for amateurs to get the hang of leaning into corners with ease. From cruising the city streets, to touring long-distance down national  highways, the FZ-S manages it all very well.

Though its 13bhp producing fuel injected 1-cyl, 149cc motor loves to be revved hard, what leaves us a bit disappointed is the motorcycle's sense of urgency to build up speed. But it more than makes up for that shortcoming with an impressive fuel efficiency figure of around 45kpl. A great way to get around town and a great way to learn real riding skills on a manageable bike.

The numbers:
1-cyl, 149cc, air-cooled, 13bhp, 12.8Nm, 5M, 132kg, fuel tank: 12l
