Volvo Concept Estate
Volvo has seen a tremendous amount of change in the last couple of years. First, the Swedes phased out their V8 engines, followed by the company being bought over by China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Volvo then turned to a new breed of smaller, more efficient powertrains in the form of the Drive-E engines.
And at the recent Geneva Motor Show this year, it showed off the Concept Estate – the latest of three concept cars that speak of Volvo favouring a completely new design language. The design signatures of these three concepts –the Concept Coupe, the Concept XC Coupe and the Concept Estate – depict what we can expect the next generation of Volvo cars to adhere to. With global attention intensifying around the much-anticipated next-generation XC90 SUV, we look in the direction of the latest Concept Estate, the car that will lend the XC90 its styling cues.
