Amer Beg to debut in Super Trofeo Asia
Super Trofeo Asia series returns; it marks India’s debut in the championship, gets an improved LP 570-4, new tracks and new teams.
Indian racing driver Amer Beg is all-set to make his maiden appearance in the international motor racing series, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia. The series, that marks our nation’s debut in the championship, celebrates its second year in Asia and inheriting the different tracks this year will be the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo 2013.
Amer, who is all-set for the opening round at the Shanghai International Circuit, have competed exclusively in single-seaters till now. But the Indian racer is looking forward to make a smooth transition into GT cars. An exciting Amer said, “I am thankful to Lamborghini India for this opportunity and it is a privilege to be a part of the fastest one-make series in the world.
It’s the result of Lamborghini India’s efforts that will see our nation being represented for the first time on the Super Trofeo Asia grid, which already includes drivers from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Korea.

The series, which uses identical, race-prepared versions of the Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo, made its Asian debut in 2012 and this season promises to be an even more thrilling affair, as it vrooms across the Asia-Pacific with races in China, Malaysia, Korea and Japan before culminating at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix on November 9-10.
