Audi launches 2 new cars
The A7 Sportback and the RS5 Coupé are now in India
Audi is getting pretty cheeky with its car launches. Yesterday they unveiled the A7 Sportback with all the fanfare that comes with an Audi launch, along with Bollywood sweetheart Deepika Padukone to do the unveiling. See we were expecting that, since that's what we were invited for.
But trust Audi to throw a real surprise by popping out the much anticipated RS 5 Coupé as well. Touché Audi, touché.
Audi offers the A7 Sportback with a powerful version of the V6 diesel. It generates 245 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, the latter of which is available between 1,400 and 3,250 rpm. S tronic and quattro drive are standard with this engine version. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kph takes 6.3 seconds and top speed is limited to 250 kph .Fuel consumption is just 6.0 liters of fuel per 100 km on average, which corresponds to 158 grams of CO 2 /km .All engines feature a recuperation system and thermal management.
The Audi RS 5 Coupé (in the pic above) uses a high-revving, normally aspirated V8 displacing 4,163 cc. This engine is closely related to the V10 that powers the the Audi R8. The 4.2 FSI delivers 450 bhp at 8,250 rpm, with the peak torque of 430 Nm available between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The sonorous V8 catapults the two-door model from 0 to 100 kph in 4.6 seconds on its way to an electronically governed top speed of 280 kph.
Both cars are available now. The A7 Sportback is available from Rs. 64 lakhs and the RS 5 Coupé starts from Rs. 76 lakhs. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
Nissan has their own version of the popular Duster. And in many ways, the Terrano is a notch above Renault's offering. It's all there in our video review. ..Watch full Video
