The war of super-four-door-coupes has just begun with the M6 GC challenging the Audi RS7's supremacy for the fastest saloon money can buy
We know that German brands love competing with each other. So when Audi launched the RS7 around February this year, we were pretty sure we would be getting something from the other two German manufacturers soon enough. And here comes BMW with its response to the Audi RS7 – the M6 Gran Coupe.
As you can recall, the M6 Gran Coupe is a 6 series with two extra doors. It has the same 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that's seen in the M5, and puts out 552bhp and 680Nm of torque. The gearbox is a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear wheels (RS7 is all-wheel-drive, in case you were wondering).
The stylish M6 Gran Coupe sprints to from 0-100kph in 4.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 250kph. It can be delimited to a top speed of 305kph for an extra fee.
BMW has priced the M6 Gran Coupe in India at Rs 1.75 crore, ex-showroom, Delhi. It will naturally lock horns with the Audi RS7 for those precious single digit orders. Now just waiting for Mercedes-Benz to join the party with the CLS 63 AMG, and we will call it a full house.
