Datsun redi-Go limited edition launched
The limited edition is available with two engine options and has a starting price of Rs 3.58 lakh
Datsun has launched a limited edition of the redi-Go called the redi-Go Limited Edition' 2018. Other than some minor cosmetic changes, this limited edition redi-Go remains the same as the standard car.
On the outside, the redi-Go Limited Edition' 2018 gets carbonfibre body panels. Just kidding, it gets new decals, a roof wrap, front and rear bumper undercovers, and red inserts in the grille. The red and black contrasting accent has made its way to the interior as well. The leather seat upholstery and the AC vents get them too, while the gear bezel and inside door handles are in chrome. The redi-Go also gets parking sensors with a distance display.
The limited edition redi-Go is available in two engine options – the 0.8-litre and the 1.0-litre. At 67bhp, the 1.0-litre motor produces 13bhp more than the 800cc motor. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed gearbox. Although Datsun had launched the AMT variant of its hatchback in January this year, the limited edition misses out that option.
The 0.8-litre variant has a price tag of Rs 3.58 lakh and the 1.0-litre is priced at Rs 3.85 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The redi-Go rivals the Maruti Suzuki Alto, the Hyundai Eon and its French cousin, the Kwid.
