Ford Endeavour has been a successful SUV in the Indian off-roading car market ever since its launch in 2003. However, the SUV did not see any major changes, looks or performance-wise, since 2009, albeit a minor facelift last year. So now, Ford has launched the MY2014 Endeavour in India, which sports a new look with a new front grille, new bumper and headlights accompanied by refreshed interiors.

“At Ford, we are committed to delighting customers through continuous improvements in our products. Endeavour is a trusted nameplate and holds a special place in Ford India’s product portfolio. The 2014 Ford Endeavour has been made more stylish, dynamic and comfortable while retaining its core DNA of an all-terrain vehicle,” said Nigel Harris, President of Ford India.

Along with the new grille and bumper, the Endeavor also gets a new set of 16-inch alloys and a specially designed side mirrors for better visibility. On the inside, it gets a refreshed look with trim updates and a new leather seats. The top-end variant gets satnav entertainment system with Bluetooth input.

However, the Endeavour does not get an engine update, and at the heart of the vehicle still beats a 16-valve 3.0 litre Duratorq TDCi powertrain that creates peak torque of 380 Nm at 2500 rpm and 154bhp of power.

In total, the 2014 Endeavour is available in three variants – 2.5-litre Duratorq TDCi 4x2 manual transmission, a 3.0-Litre Duratorq TDCi 4x2 automatic transmission and a 3.0-litre Duratorq TDCi 4x4 automatic transmission, which will be available at Rs 19.83 lakh, Rs 21.28 lakh and Rs 23.06 lakh respectively.
