Mahindra had a full house. The Mahindra stage was stacked with everything from an electric racecar, an automated manual 'box-equipped Quanto, a hybrid XUV concept and a couple of concepts from the SsangYong family.

And along with that was a 2.0-litre diesel engine. If you thought that 2.0 diesel was going to go under the hood of anything with a Mahindra badge, you'd be wrong. It's been introduced for the Rexton, and it will be sold along with the current 2.7-litre diesel mill.

Something poles apart was in the Mahindra booth - a Formula E racecar from the house of Mahindra Reva. Another thing completely poles apart that Mahindra showed today is an automated manual gearbox for the Xylo. Yes, automated manual gearboxes seem to be the thing of the season with other manufacturers jumping onto the bandwagon.

There's more to come from Mahindra in their press conference happening tomorrow. Wait for that.
