Toyota Racing Development has been a little busy working on its racetrack performers for quite sometime now. However, this festive season, TRD announces the arrival of its latest product, the limited edition 'Fortuner TRD Sportivo' to get back its presence on the road.

After regular changes in design since its launch in 2009, the Fortuner gets a new twang of sportiness for the price of Rs 24.26 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) this time. Just 400 units of this special edition will be manufactured.

Fortuner TRD Sportivo stands to be right in the middle of being a brash off-roader and a frisky soft-roader. This mid-sized Toyota SUV’s only variant, 4x4 MT, comes in two colours – Super white and silver mica metallica. It has aerodynamically designed dual tone front and rear bumper spoilers, and rear roof spoilers as leftover elements from the racetrack.

Apart from that, other minor design additions to the popular large roadster include TRD engraved body stripe, radiator grille with TRD emblem and rear TRD Sportivo emblem.

With the new models of the Innova, Etios, Liva coming out in the last few months, and now the new Fortuner being launched recently, Toyota showrooms should see a lot of activity around this festive season. What say, dotcommers?
