Hyundai launches new Santa Fe

Hyundai follows up the compact sedan Xcent with the launch of the new Santa Fe SUV

Hyundai has launched the third-generation of its Santa Fe SUV at the Auto Expo at a starting price tag of Rs 26.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on Hyundai's 'Storm Edge design philosophy', the new Santa Fe is now more in line with the company's fluidic design theme. Its surely looks more striking and contemporary than the model it replaces.

Powered by its 'R' series 2.2-litre CRDi diesel motor, the Santa Fe boasts of 194bhp and 430Nm of max torque. It will be offered with both 6-speed Manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions, and with 2WD and 4WD options.

Some of the key features of the new Santa Fe include advanced traction cornering control, three steering modes - Comfort, Normal and Sport, 12-way powered seats, 6 airbags, electronic safety control, vehicle stability control, dual-zone climate control, hill start assist and downhill brake control.

The new Santa Fe will now offer a third row, seven-seating option, with 50:50 split foldable rear seats. The second and third rows can be fully folded for added luggage space.

The Santa Fe has been launched at a starting price of Rs 26.3 lakh for the 2WD Manual, Rs 27.15 lakh for the 2WD Auto and Rs 29.25 lakh for the 4WD Auto (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
