Jaguar's XF now available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine

The bonkers 'R' version is not the only petrol-powered XF in the range - there's a smaller, saner, four-pot-propelled variant on sale now

Until now, the only petrol-powered XF Jaguar offered in India was the balls-out XFR, with its great big supercharged 5.0-litre 503bhp V8. Now though, you can have a petrol-engined XF that will not set fire to your wallet.

Jaguar's introduced a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol motor for the XF, which makes 237bhp and 340Nm of torque, channeled through an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Jag says it will do the 0-100kph run in 7.9 seconds, run into the limiter at 250kph, and still do 10.8 kilometres to a litre of petrol.

Talking features, the XF 2.0 gets a Bluetooth-enabled stereo, satnav, reversing camera, sunroof, TV tuner and most importantly, a full-sized spare wheel.

It's not the cheapest of the lot, however - the XF 2.0 has been priced at Rs 48.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), which is about Rs 4 lakh more than the 2.2-litre diesel-powered XF.
