The SP concept will be showcased alongside Kia’s global product portfolio
Kia Motors will make their debut in India at Auto Expo 2018, and headlining their stand will be a product extremely relevant to India – the SP Concept. This compact SUV concept will be making its global debut when it is unveiled on February 7 in New Delhi.
In addition to the SP Concept, Kia will be showcasing 16 of their global models including electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. You can expect to see hatchbacks like the Picanto and Rio, the Cerato and Optima sedans and SUVs like the Sportage, Niro and their flagship Sorento. Kia will also showcase the Mercedes-AMG C43 and Audi S5 rivaling Stinger sedan, though it is unlikely to be launched in India.
Kia will begin selling cars in the Indian market in 2019, and they are on track to do so. They are investing $1.1 billion in a manufacturing facility in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh with a production capacity of 3,00,000 units annually.
If you do head down to the Auto Expo, you can catch the SP Concept, along with the rest of their products in Hall 7.
