Lamborghini Urus launched in India
The super-SUV is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine making 641bhp of power and 850Nm of twist. Lamborghini claims a 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds
Lamborghini has launched it's super-SUV, the Urus at a cost of Rs 3 crore (Ex-Showroom, India). After the LM002, Urus is the second SUV from the Italian supercar manufacturer. Globally, Lamborghini will only produce 1000 units out of which 25 units makes its way into India.
Under the hood is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 641bhp of power and 850Nm of torque. Yes, it is the first turbocharged engine from Lamborghini and the power produced is sent to the 4 wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Urus accelerates from 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of 305kph, making it the fastest SUV in the world.
Urus is developed on the MLB platform which underpins the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and the Bentley Bentayga. This SUV rides on 21-inch wheels which is standard and it can be upgraded with a 23 incher. To stop this 2.2 tonne SUV are a pair of massive 440mm front and 370mm rear carbon ceramic brakes.
Lamborghini is offering the Urus with six driving modes, out of which Strada, Sport, Corsa and Snow are standard while Terra (off-road) and Sabbia (sand) are optional. These modes are controlled by the Tamburo mode selector on the centre console. The Urus gets an adaptive suspension and a permanent 4WD system with a torque vectoring rear differential. This SUV also comes equipped a four-wheel steering setup to help agility.
