Hyundai has launched the facelift version of its SUV, the Creta, at Rs 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

At first, you might not see the changes, but if you look closely, you'll notice a couple of new things. For example, the 2018 Creta gets projector headlamps, LED DRLS, 17-inch alloy wheels and redesigned front and rear bumpers. There won't be a new paint scheme, will there? You spoke too soon. The 2018 Creta too gets a new orange paint scheme just like the Tata Nexon and the Maruti Brezza.

In terms of features, the updated Creta is pretty loaded and will take the battle straight to its rivals. It's equipped with a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a sunroof, a wireless phone charger, an updated 7-inch infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and so on. And oh, just like the Nexon, the 2018 Creta too gets a smart key band.

Mechanically, it remains the same as the pre-facelift model. The 1.6-petrol churns out 121bhp, while the two oil-burners (a 1.6 and a 1.4) produce 126bhp and 88bhp, respectively. It will be available with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed auto 'box. The Korean manufacturer also claims that the fuel efficiency has increased by 3 percent in the petrol variant and four percent in the diesel. It’s equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist and rear parking sensors, among other features.
