After having a pretty good 2013 in India by being the first luxury car manufacturer to sell 10,000 cars in a year, Audi India is kickstarting the new year with the launch of the new Audi RS7 Sportback.

Audi is quick to point out how the new RS7 is the most powerful car in its Indian lineup, featuring a 4.0-litre TFSI bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 552bhp of power and 700Nm or torque. Audi claims that the car can sprint from 0-100kph in 3.9 secs and has a top speed of 305kph, while giving an average mileage of 8.5kpl.

The Audi RS7 Sportback is launched at an ex-showroom, Mumbai price of Rs 1.29 crore. Bollywood actor Salman Khan picked up the first RS7 launched locally at the Audi press conference, but we will be getting our hands on it soon enough for a full review. Watch this space.
