Launched: Ford EcoSport petrol Titanium+ with manual transmission
Priced at Rs 10.47 lakh; the top-end variant gets some new features
The petrol powered Ford EcoSport was available with the top-of-the-line Titanium+ trim, but only with an automatic gearbox. If you wanted a manual, you had to settle for the Titanium trim. However, now Ford has launched the petrol EcoSport with the Titanium+ trim at Rs 10.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
Compared to the Titanium, the top-spec Titanium+ variant gets additional features like rain sensing wipers, rear-view camera, cruise control, ESC, side and curtain airbags, and automatic headlamps. This is in addition to features like the 17-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, apple carplay, fog lamps, projector headlamps and six airbags that were already available on the Titanium trim.
The facelift also did away with the older naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the Ecoboost turbo-petrol engine. Instead, you get a three-pot, 1.5-litre petrol mill mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The motor churns out 121bhp and 150Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The EcoSport is equipped with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
