Launched: New Audi Q5

The refreshed SUV gets updated engines, improved efficiency and enhanced interiors.

Audi has launched a revised version of its Q5 Luxury SUV at a starting price of Rs 43.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV is available in three variants, two diesels and a petrol.

The facelift model now comes with styling tweaks inside and out. The exterior changes include revised grille, new fog lamp housing, an altered bumper, new LED daytime running lights and Xenon headlamps, new revised tail lamps. There are minor tweaks to the interiors that further enhance its look and feel.

The Q5 will be powered by three engine options; 175bhp 2-litre TDI and 242bhp 3-litre TDI diesel, and 221bhp 2-litre TFSI petrol motor. The diesels are matted to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox, while the petrol motor gets an 8-speed tiptronic transmission.

Audi has mentioned in an official statement that these engines, equipped with energy recovery system, have been updated and are now 15 percent more efficient than the outgoing models. The company claims 14.6kpl (ARAI Certified) for the 2.0 TDI variant.
