Launched: the all-new Toyota Corolla Altis
The 11th generation Altis gets a much-needed makeover, and is up for grabs at a price you won't believe...
Finally, the new Toyota Corolla Altis that was earlier shown at this year's Auto Expo is finally up for grabs. Go ahead then, empty that money mattress.
The all-new Corolla Altis admittedly looks a lot better than its ageing predecessor, and it's now in line with their global design philosophy. It gets a redesigned face with a new radiator grille, LED headlamps and clearance lamps. Also fresh on the outside are the rear LED combination lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and some rear chrome garnish that should appeal to a lot of buyers.
On the inside, you get a 'cyber carbon' high-gloss instrument panel cluster, a three-spoke leather steering wheel with audio controls, and the wheelbase has also been increased by 100mm, which translates into better rear seat legroom.
Feature-wise, the new Corolla Altis boasts of rain sensors, a 7-inch screen with sat-nav, enhanced driving position and better seat height adjustment. Safety features include rear camera, brake assist with ABS and EBD, rear fog lamp on the right hand side and dual SRS airbags. The rear passengers get reclining seats, reading lamp, sunshade and a power socket.
The new Corolla Altis is available in five grades in petrol – J (S), G, G-CVT, GL and VL (CVT); and in four diesel grades – DJ, DJ (S), DG and DGL. There's an optional “The Benchmark Collection” accessory package available to customers that includes additional accessories like daytime running lamps and chrome embellishments.
