Mahindra pushes for digital transformation
Alongside an online portal and an after-sales services app, a VR-driven initiative has also been launched.
Want to get a new car but don’t feel like getting off the couch? Well, Mahindra & Mahindra has just launched an all-new initiative, whereby the customer can get a feel of the showroom, right from their living rooms.
Mahindra’s new digital strategy is three-pronged. There’s the Mahindra SYOUV platform where you can check for car availability depending on dealers, book test drives, choose the accessories you want with the car, compare a Mahindra SUV with rivals and even customize the SUV you want with friends on social media. You could also speak to a Mahindra expert for better understanding.
After the purchase, Mahindra has the With You Hamesha app which allows for service bookings, has notifications for service and warranty, insurance-related reminders and also has an SOS function whereby company officials can track your GPS location and send help your way from the nearest service centre. Functions such as instant chat and video calls are also available.
The most interesting part of this entire pre-sales and post-sales experience is the Bring the Showroom home initiative. Upon request, executives will reach your residence with a VR headset. This will enable you to view any Mahindra SUV in exactly the kind of colour and with the accessories you want. You can also take a peek at the interiors and the variants on offer. It’s an immersive experience that lets you check out the vehicle you want without the limitations of an actual dealership.
