After months of delays Chevrolet has finally launched the updated version of the Spark hatchback, which we would assume, is Chevrolet’s salvo to take on the recently launched Maruti Alto 800. The design changes were carried out at General Motors’ technical centre in Bangalore.

The engine remains the same. A 1-litre motor with 63bhp of power on tap

The new Spark features a new face, with a split honeycomb grille, fresh new bumper and addition of silver garnish. The interiors are jazzed up too with a centrally mounted, wing-designed, instrument cluster. The new Spark also gets a double-DIN audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The upholstery has been updated as well, but the dual tone beige-black theme remains the same.

It seems that all the changes are limited to design, as the engine is the same 1-litre motor with 63bhp of power on tap.

Prices for the Spark start at Rs 3.26 lakh, while the next in line LS comes in at Rs 3.52 lakh. The top of the line LT costs Rs 3.81 lakh. The LPG versions cost Rs 3.82 lakh for the LS and Rs 4.11 lakh for the top-line LT version. All the mentioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
