Next-gen Swift launched

Longer, wider, more fuel efficient and better interiors

After a long teaser campaign, Maruti-Suzuki has finally launched the next generation Swift. The new car offers 140 new features including best-in-class acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency.

The new car is offered in both petrol and diesel variants, as the last last generation. The 1.2 litre K-series petrol engine VVT has a claimed boost in mileage by 4% at 18.6kpl, while the 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine claims a 6% higher mileage at 22.9kpl. Full specs here.

Both engines are available in 3 variants each. Introductory ex-showroom Mumbai prices for each car are - Petrol LXi: Rs 4.5 lakh, petrol VXi: Rs 4.91 lakh, petrol ZXi: Rs 5.78 lakh, diesel LDi: Rs 5.36 lakh, diesel VDi: Rs 5.81 lakh and finally diesel ZDi: Rs 6.62 lakh.
