At the 2018 Detroit Motor Show, Volkswagen unveiled the new Jetta. It now comes equipped with new features, sharp design and a new eight-speed automatic gearbox.

This sedan is based on Volkswagen MQB platform like the Passat. As compared to the previous model, the new Jetta gets shorter overhangs, it is now longer and wider which implies to a longer wheelbase and larger cabin. The front fascia gets a sharp design, larger grille and new LED lights. Inside, the new Jetta is equipped with Volkswagen’s latest MIB instrument cluster and a 10.2-inch info display. In addition to this, it also gets a dashboard mounted infotainment system which is compatible with Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The new Jetta is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, that produces 147bhp of power and 250Nm of twist. The power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic gearbox which is optional for the base variant.
