Thought all cars under Rs 10 lakh were getting softer, were you? The Fabia disagrees. Skoda brought out a sportier version of the Fabia and calls it the Fabia Scout.

While the engines stay the same as the previous models (1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre diesel), it does get a set of new projector head lamps, front bumper with spoiler, rear bumper with diffuser, peripheral protective cladding, front and rear door sill trims and a stainless steel pedal set.

The new version differentiates itself from other hatches available in the market with its peripheral body cladding and bumper spoiler and diffuser.

The 1.2 MPI is pegged at Rs 6.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) and Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the 1.2 TDI will be yours for Rs. 7.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) and Rs. 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

According to Skoda, it’s targeted at urban, self-driven individuals who are evolved and informed consumers. What do you think Mr. urban, self-driven individual? Let us know in the comments below.
