Renault's re-entry marked by Fluence
The Renalt Fluence executive sedan launching this month. 4 more cars in next 14 months.
Talk about an ambitious re-entry. Renault is returning to the Indian market, and is pulling all stops to make it one of the most prominent international brands in the country by launching 5 cars in the next 14 months.
With aims of being among the top 3 international brands in India, Renault will announce 14 dealerships during the launch of the built-in-india Fluence executive sedan by the end of this month. By the end of 2012 they aim to have 100 outlets selling Renault cars.
The Fluence sedan is based on the Megane hatch, already selling in Europe. As a sedan, the Fluence has sold over 1.3 lakh units around the world.
From the skimpy details revealed thus far, we know that all Renault Fluence variants will have ABS and stability control as standard. The range will have a 1.5-litre diesel engine variant with 106PS and certified to return 21.84 kpl. There will also be a petrol variant featuring a 2-litre engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Renault Fluence will officially launch on May 23rd, and comes with a 4 year warranty. Expect more details and our first drive soon...
