Premier Ltd. showcased a facelifted model of the RiO at the Auto Expo. The Rio will soon get a new engine, which powers the Maruti Swift, Fiat Punto and the Tata Indica. The new MultiJet engine is expected to be on sale by April this year and will help boost the sales of the RiO.

The RiO is available in four variants, starting from Rs 4.7 lakh while the top-end model will cost 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). All the variants get a power steering, front power windows, electrically operated door mirrors, central locking and CD player.

Premier Ltd. has a dealer network of 50 and plans to increase it to 100 by the end of 2012. The new version of the RiO will be on sale in the first quarter of 2012.
