What do modern-day Indian parents do when their kids turn one? The most common answer is – throw a lavish party at an exotic location and shower the kid with truckloads of gifts. Mitsubishi plans to do something similar when its Pajero Sport SUV turns one.

No, there isn’t a lavish party planned, but the company is adding more features to its SUV to attract more customers. Our ‘Off-roader of the Year’ in 2012, the Pajero Sport Anniversary Edition sports touch screen audio system with GPS navigation and rear-view camera, sporty rear spoiler, body coloured bumpers and mudguards along with an Anniversary Edition badge.

There are no mechanical changes and the Pajero Sport will continue to be powered by 2,477cc diesel engine with176bhp power and 400Nm of torque, coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is only available with 4WD hardware.

Uttam Bose, Managing Director & CEO, Hindustan Motors said, “The launch of Pajero Sport Anniversary Edition is a reflection of our customer-centric approach. In our endeavor to give maximum value to customers we have incorporated new features based on their feedback. We are confident that the additions will contribute to customer delight and consolidate Pajero Sport’s position as a true SUV, which matches the needs of city driving as well."

The Pajero Sport and the Montero are the only two vehicles that Mitsubishi is selling in India presently. Feel free to let us know what you think in the comments below...
