Toyota's Etios Liva is a capable city hatchback, and is quite straightforward, much like its sedan sibling, the Etios. What the Liva has lacked however, is a visual punch. And now, Toyota Kirloskar Motor have announced the arrival of a special edition Liva - the Liva TRD Sportivo, production of which is limited to 1200 units - which Toyota expect to run out of by October this year.

Designed by Toyota's very own performance arm, Toyota Racing Development (TRD), the Sportivo carries additional bling in the form of an aero package that consists of front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirting and a roof spoiler. Gun-metal finish alloys, racy stickering on the sides and a chrome 'TRD Sportivo' badge on the bootlid round off the changes made to the outside, and a silver gear knob coupled with new fabric, TRD logo-emblazoned seats are the only alterations inside. Technical specifications remain untouched.

Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, TKM added “The Liva TRD Sportivo Limited Edition is a trendy and sporty vehicle for the ever enthusiastic and vibrant youth of today. It will offer product exclusivity and excitement thus enhancing the ownership experience and image of the Etios Liva."

The limited-run Liva is available in two shades - White and Ultramarine Blue, and is now on sale for Rs 5.23 lakh for the petrol and Rs 6.32 lakh for the diesel (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
