Toyota has refreshed the Etios and Liva line-up for 2014. Now, when Toyota says "refreshed", what it's trying to say is that it has merely added a couple of new trims to the diesel-powered Liva range, and has introduced dual-tone interiors on the mid-spec Etios and Liva variants.

The Liva diesel range will now top out with the VD and VD (SP) grades, both of which get features like a remote-operated, Bluetooth-enabled double-DIN stereo with USB and Aux-in, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, turn indicators integrated into the wing mirrors, rear wiper and defogger, and a tachometer. The VD SP (SP denoting 'Safety Package') comes with airbags for the driver and front passenger, and ABS with EBD.

Also, twin-tone interiors have been extended to the cheaper G and GD variants of the hatch as well as the sedan, something that was only available from G/GD SP trims onwards previously.

The new variants of the Liva Diesel have been priced at Rs 6.70 lakh (VD), and Rs 7.04 lakh (VD SP), ex-showroom, Mumbai.
