Ah, the 370Z. The car Sriram Narayanan described as "This car pivots around you so effortlessly, it’s as if you’re wearing it rather than sitting inside it. The engine might sound like a greedy-for-revs, loud maniac.", while driving through the Yamuna expressway. And the current-gen X-Trail, the newest avatar of which just broke cover last September, and is set to launch this year. Both will be missed with a heavy heart, since Nissan has decided to discontinue the sale of these cars in India and focus their attention towards the locally produced lineup, namely Micra Active, Micra, Sunny, Evalia and Terrano.

The local manufacturing happens in Nissan's Oragadam facility in Chennai, and Nissan plans to concentrate on products tailored for India and delivering more value along with quality to their customers. However the discontinuation of the X-Trail and 370Z doesn't put a complete end to Nissan's premium range as the Teana luxury sedan is still on sale.

Dotcommers, will you miss the X-Trail and 370Z? Or is this a step in the right direction for Nissan? Tell us in the comments below. Here's a little inspirational story on the lengths a man went to, to score a 370Z.
