Turning combat vehicles into domesticated luxury SUVs has been a practice from the days of the Hummvee. Sadly there is no Hummer (civilian version of the Humvee) on sale today but a few niche manufacturers have filled that void. Conquest Vehicles, a Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer is one of them.

The Evade, though is is an unarmored SUV, based on the on a Ford F550 super duty chassis. Funny thing is, it looks like the designers have been evaded completely.

So you get this boxy design SUV that looks like it has been riveted into place by some shipbuilders. All body panels are hand crafted that including the vehicle’s steering wheel; proprietary hinges, running boards and even the key itself are machined out of solid stainless steel. The vehicle’s handles are machined out of a solid block of aluminum.

On the inside you get military inspired design cues (thanks to its armored vehicle heritage) leather wrapped seats that use the best hide to place your bottom. Other goodies include driver partition and a retractable flat screen TV.

The Evade will be sold and distributed in India by Magnus Cars and will cost Rs 8.5 crore.
