Vivo launched its new flagship phone, the V9 earlier today at Rs 22,990. The phone gets a host of new features including better cameras, smaller bezels and upgrades to the processor. The dual camera at the rear is a first on a Vivo phone and is available for pre-booking, but will go on sale only on April 2.

The phone features a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The narrow bezels – as narrow as 1.75mm -- give it the dimensions of a traditional 5.5-inch phone but it actually has a 6.3-inch display. The V9 gets a dual rear camera – one 16MP and one 5MP. It allows you to get a realistic depth of field in photos – the depth of which can be adjusted even after the photo has been clicked. It also gets a 24MP selfie camera, which uses AI to pick up distinct features of your face and deliver better selfies over time.

In terms of specs, the V9 gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. This is expandable up to 256GB. It also gets a 3260mAh battery and runs Android Oreo through Vivo's own Funtouch OS 4.0.

Vivo has established itself strongly in the smartphone space and is leaders in the 20k to 30k market. The V9 seems to be a strong product from the company and should bode well for their future.
