Legendary Bhangarh in Mahindra Bolero: Day two

We venture through the refreshing wildlife of Sariska, into the morbid darkness of Bhangarh...

Seeking diving blessings at the Hanuman temple inside Sariska. It's a 20km drive deep into the forest through lush green pastures but mostly on broken tarmac--our Bolero always felt at home.

You might not be lucky enough to see one of the six tigers inside, but there are plenty of langoors, deers and peacocks to catch a glimpse of. Some friendly, some (like the langoors) overtly so.

Despite it being in ruins it is hard not to be impressed by the planning, architecture and overall design of the Bhangarh fort. Some say it’s haunted but the locals say it’s the fear of wild animals that keeps people away after sunset.

The Bolero stands tall in front of the Bhangarh fort just as night falls. It’s hard to imagine any other car could have covered such torturous terrain which the Bolero did without breaking a sweat.
